Dec. 9th, 2002 10:34 pmBest ever leftover turkey: a little Taste of Thai Red Curry Base, half a can (or so) each of coconut milk and vegetable broth, some brussels sprouts, half a butternut squash, a little garlic, as much brown sugar as I could chip off of the solid block that used to be my brown sugar, dash of salt, sprinkle with basil. Was worried it was going to be too hot 'cause just the smell of the curry paste went sharp up my nose when I threw it in (into a little oil), but I think it mellows as it cooks, or else there was just enough veggies and turkey to spread it out right.
Ahh, I haven't cooked in ages, and I ask myself, why not, it's so much better than another greasy sandwich from Wendy's... she said, wondering where her evening had gone to, and contemplating the cutting board covered in bits of squash goop.
