- My baby oak is blooming! Well, growing leaves, I mean! He is alive! (This is my oak from Alum Weekend, you college friend types.)

- Why am I incapable of not overpacking? I should go unpack my suitcase right now and take out one of the pairs of pants. Maybe one of the shirts too. Or maybe the skirt and tights... it's so much fun glamming around while on vacation, and yes, putting on a skirt is "glamming" for me, but will it really be warm enough? Maybe no skirt, then. But how much space will that even save? (Heck knows what fraction of the suitcase I'm taking up with the spare pair of shoes, but, after the sheep shit adventure at Hadrian's Wall, am *so* convinced the shoes are worth it.)

- Eeeeeeek, am actually off to Italy tomorrow!
